The Choose Well campaign is designed to provide information to the public about the range of NHS and other services, which are available as alternatives to attending the Emergency Department or dialling 999. Please see below for further information.

Travel Vaccinations

Information about countries and vaccinations required at:

https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, please contact the practice to make a travel vaccination appointment with a practice nurse. When making the appointment, please let our receptionist know where you travelling and provide a list of your destinations.

It is important to make your appointment well in advance of your date of travel, ideally 6 weeks but a minimum of 2 weeks before you travel, in order to complete any necessary course of vaccinations and to allow the vaccines to work.

The practice provides all common travel vaccines (diptheria, typhoid, polio, hepatitis A and B). In addition, we provide, meningitis and rabies.

Some vaccines are included in the services provided by the NHS and are therefore free of charge. These include: diptheria, typhoid, polio and hepatitis A. The following vaccines are chargeable as they do not fall within the remit of NHS services: hepatitis B, meningitis,  and rabies.

In addition, the practice can provide a private prescription for those anti-malarial medication brands, which cannot be purchased over the counter. Please consult a pharmacist for advice on which type is appropriate for your destination(s).

The current list of charges is available under the 'Clinics and Services' tab within 'non-NHS services'.  We accept cheques or cash.  No debit or credit card facilities.
