eConsult - Will be live from Monday 22nd June 2020.
Due to Coronavirus, help protect patients and our staff by using our new online service called eConsult, This will be the preferred method of contact i.e. booking appointments, telephone consultations, request sick notes, letters, test results and acute prescriptions that you may have had before but are not on your repeat list.
eConsult is a service for patients wanting to contact the practice and you will get a response within 24 hours. Avoid calling the practice as our phone lines are busy. Simply use eConsult and avoid the queue
For vulnerable patients, those without internet access and those who choose not to use eConsult, you will still be able to phone us. Our care navigators will take a brief history using an econsult elite template, so that you can get the right treatment at the right time.
Unless your problem is of an urgent nature our response will be by the end of the next working day or sooner, whether you contact us through eConsult or via the phone.
Patient Benefits of eConsult
• Patients may not need a trip to the practice and their query may be resolved with a phone call, email or text from the practice
• Medical advice is available 24/7 even when the practice is closed – Patients can check their health symptoms online and receive on the spot medical advice and treatment guidance thanks to NHS Choices content
• Patients will get a response from the practice by the end of the next working day or sooner
• Access wherever and whenever patients want from any device. Unlike a telephone call patients can complete an eConsult as it suits them, without taking up practice time
• Patients can request sick notes and test results without the need for an appointment saving patient and practice time
Use the following link for a demonstration of eConsult.

APPOINTMENTS DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
We are reviewing all routine appointments and non-essential services in order to protect patients and reduce the risk of Coronavirus spread. We are offering routine telephone consultations in place of face to face appointments where clinically appropriate, and you may be asked to consider this when booking a future appointment.
You will understand that this is a busy and challenging time for the surgery and we would appreciate your understanding and patience.

Important Notice
Changes to prescribing of Gabapentin & Pregabalin
From the 1st April 2019 Gabapentin & Pregabalin are changing to a schedule 3 Controlled Drug
Good practice requires that this class of drug is limited to a 1 month supply. if your prescription for these is currently for more than 1 month then your quantity prescribed may be reduced (Eg. if you receive 2 or 3 months supply at a time this will be reduced to monthly prescriptions). If you have these drugs on your batch prescription (prescriptions done for 12 months and kept with the pharmacy) you will need to speak to the pharmacist or prescription clerk so that this medication can be put on a monthly repeat for either you or the pharmacy to order depending on how you order your repeat medication.
